One-Day Seminar: The American Founding, hosted by Pepperdine University

Join TeachingAmericanHistory.org at Pepperdine University on Friday, May 4th, 2018 for a free one-day seminar about the American Founding. Teachers will take part in a Socratic discussion about the ideas and structures unique to the American style of government, and beyond those consider the place of slavery within the ideas and practices of self-government in the late 18th Century. All registrants will receive a documents reader on paper in advance of the program (PDF copy of reader and agenda available here), and lunch on the day of the program.

All attendees will also receive physical copies of two TAH.org publications: the 50 Core American Documents, and our new Core Documents: the American Founding volume.
