One Day Seminar: The American Presidency, hosted by Alta High School (Sandy, UT)

April 12, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join teachers from the greater Salt Lake City area to study the foundation under and evolution of the American Presidency, from the founding through late 20th Century, with documents chosen from TAH.org’s Core American Documents volume on the topic. From the first decades of the republic, during which presidents and others sought to clarify, empower, or restrain the unique position of the President, to the last century, during which presidential power during crises has been expanded significantly, this program will help to late a solid foundation through original documents.

Teachers will receive a printed copy of the documents reader in advance of the program, and can get access to the reader and agenda in PDF format after 1 January here. All teachers are welcome, and will be provided with a certificate for continuing education hours.
