14 February 1950 Sino-Soviet Pact Signed
	Under this agreement each side pledged to come to the aid of the other in case of war with a third power. The treaty also settled several outstanding territorial disputes between the two powers, and provided for a limited program of Soviet aid to Mao’s regime in China.
