One-Day Seminar: World War 2 hosted by the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies (Norman, OK)

One of two Seminars TAH.org is putting on in conjunction with the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies, this program will focus on the American experience in World War 2, addressing the causes, conduct of the war, and sociopolitical dimensions of how the war was fought abroad and at home, and its impacts on American government and society. One-Day Seminar: The American Founding hosted by the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies (Norman, OK)

One of two Seminars TAH.org is putting on in conjunction with the Oklahoma Council for the Social Studies, this seminar will examine the principles of the American Revolution and how they came to define the structure of the American Constitution for the Founding generation, with a special focus on how slavery was debated and dealt with by the Founders. One Day Seminar: Social Reform – 1790 to 1850, hosted by Broken Arrow Schools (Tulsa, OK)

Join teachers from the region to study the various social reform movements that shaped and shook American culture, society, and politics during the era of pre-Civil War expansion. Readings and discussions will address the evolving political and social impact of the American Revolution, the influence of religion in American society, and the growing Abolition movement into the middle decades of the 19th Century. One Day Seminar: Causes of the Civil War, hosted by OK CSS (Oklahoma City, OK)

Study the long and short-term causes of the sectional, political, and economic divides that led to the Civil War. Using a packet of primary documents, provided in advance of the program, participants will discuss the legal, social, and political factors that, over a period of decades, drove North and South apart, and finally to arms against one another.
