One-Day Seminar: Civil Rights: Constitution and Law, hosted by USS Midway Museum (San Diego, CA)
May 15 @ 7:45 am - 2:15 pm
Study the legal and constitutional evolution of civil rights in America since the Civil War in this thematic Seminar. How did the legal dimensions of this issue shape society, and how did changing social views shape law and Americans’ understanding of the Constitution and its amendments? This primary source-based Seminar will help American History, Government, and Civics teachers gain a better understanding of these issues, across over a century of law and politics.
All attendees of this free Seminar will be provided with lunch, a certificate for continuing education and digital and paper copies of the agenda and documents reader. This program will also include a special tour of the USS Midway, conducted before the museum opens to the public. Click here to register.
