One-Day Seminar: Intervention in American Foreign Policy hosted by Jefferson County Public Schools (Louisville, KY)
March 7 @ 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Isolationism or engagement? World police force or colonial power? Commerce or mutual defense? What has defined American foreign policy since the Republic’s earliest years, and how have the principles–perhaps at time conflicting–evolved over time? This program addresses the foundational ideas that defined much of America’s view on relations with the rest of the world, as established by the earliest presidents, and, through collections of documents emphasizing different eras, will provide teachers with an opportunity to analyze what those ideas are and how they have been applied, challenged, and changed over the last 2+ centuries.
Registration opens at 8:30 am
