Study in-depth the origins of the Korean War and its place within the greater context of the Cold War, with an emphasis on its causes, the armistice, and the politics between the two Koreas since. This program will take place over two Tuesdays, with each session lasting 90 minutes. A single documents reader will be provided to all registrants in both PDF and print form and can be found here. All registrants will be provided with WebEx login credentials in advance of each program session day.

This program will be conducted as a Socratic discussion, utilizing primary source documents as the only readings, and with the Discussion Leader facilitating the conversation, instead of lecturing or presenting. Registrants, therefore, are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions.
Teachers who attend both sessions of this free Seminar will be provided a certificate for continuing education.
