Brent J. Aucoin is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of History at Judson College in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He is particularly interested in post-Civil War Southern history, race relations and American religious history. He is married to his wife, Amanda, who is also a professor at the college, and they have four sons. He is the author, most recently, of Thomas Goode Jones: Race, Politics and Justice in the New South (University of Alabama Press, 2016)
