Liberty Fund Co-Sponsored Weekend: Presidents and the Constitution – Franklin D. Roosevelt (Hyde Park, NY)

This co-sponsored colloquium will introduce history and government teachers from the secondary school level to the campaign and presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt and its consequences for liberty and responsibility. Readings cover the elections of 1932 and 1936, Roosevelt’s relationship with the Supreme Court, and his use of executive power in domestic and foreign policy. Multi-Day Colloquium: hosted at James Madison’s Montpelier in Orange, VA (sponsored by the Allegheny Foundation)

Participation is based on a competitive application process. Applicants must be current K-12 school teachers in the state of Pennsylvania. This colloquium will take place at James Madison's Montpelier in Orange, Virginia. Arrival will be on Monday, June 18, 2018 and departure will be on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Accepted teachers will receive a stipend of $250. Applications will be open from 1/25 to 1/31/18. Program notifications will be issued on 2/7. Apply HERE
