Discussions, not lectures. Texts, not textbooks.

You’ll read the primary sources, then discuss the challenges and choices of those who began and carried forward America’s experiment in self-government. Instead of listening to lectures on history or pedagogy, you’ll join scholar-led conversations, probing the long American debate over the meaning of liberty and equality.

A unique and dynamic faculty.

Unlike any other program, we bring leading historians and political scientists, from universities around the nation, directly to you. Their expertise spans the full range of America’s history and governmental institutions. They will help you grow as a scholar, and give you the foundation you need to do the most important work in America—educating the next generation of citizens.
