Before registering, please take a moment to read the Ashland University Statement of Financial Responsibility.  By registering, you accept the terms of the statement.

Student Information












A Social Security number is required for tax reporting purposes. You are registering as a student at Ashland University. Each student will receive a 1098-T form showing tuition paid at the end of the calendar year.








Academic History

Participants in graduate courses in American History and Government must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School at Ashland University. Participants must have:

  • At least a bachelor's degree, earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • A 2.75 undergraduate GPA or a 3.00 GPA in at least 12 semester credit hours completed at the graduate level.

Please indicate the institution at which you earned your bachelor's degree.







If you have NOT already applied to and been formally admitted to the Graduate School at Ashland University, you must provide verification of your successful completion of a bachelor's degree and your undergraduate GPA. 

Please provide ONE of the following items:

  • An original, official transcript documenting your bachelor's degree and GPA.
  • An official, sealed, and signed letter from the registrar of the undergraduate institution verifying the degree and grade point average earned.

Documentation must be received no later than the Wednesday prior to the start of the course.

Course Selection

Students may take on-campus courses, online courses, or a combination of both. Regardless of the delivery format, no more than 4 courses (8 semester credit hours) may be taken in any one semester. 


Please note the dates of each course. Only one AHG course may be taken at a time. Students may not take both an on-campus and an online course concurrently.

Tuition Options

Room and Board

Room and board is available for $475 per week. Students are housed in modern air conditioned campus apartments and residence halls, double-occupancy. Meals are provided from dinner on Sunday through lunch on Friday.
