Sean Sutton is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Politics from the Institute of Philosophic Studies at the Univeristy of Dallas in 2001, where his research culminated in a dissertation critiquing rational choice theory, entitled “A Wealth of Notions: The Poverty of Rational Choice.” He is the author (with John Murley) of
Presently, he is working on a book exploring the Enlightenment foundations of rational choice theory. He enjoys practicing martial arts and playing chess.
