Tuition and Fees

The total cost of the MA degree program depends upon a variety of factors, including the length of time the student requires to complete the program, whether the student requires room and board during the summer semester, the student’s completion track choice, and the delivery method of courses. The total cost of the degree program may range from between $16,000 to $26,000.

The Room and Board fee for courses taken at the Ashland main campus includes five nights housing in Ashland University apartments or residence halls and all meals, from dinner Sunday through lunch Friday.

Housing Options

The default option is a double-occupancy bedroom in an apartment for $475 per week. Each bedroom has a private bathroom, closet, and two sets of furniture (bed, nightstand, desk, dresser). There are two bedrooms in an apartment. Two residents per bedroom; four residents per apartment. Each apartment has a living room, dining room, patio, and full kitchen.

Two single room options are available:

– Single Bedroom with Private Bathroom in a Senior Apartment – $675 per week

– Single Dormitory room with Private Bathroom in Clayton Hall – $575 per week

Clayton Hall is located in the heart of campus, across from the Senior Apartments and directly adjacent to Redwood Hall. Each Clayton Hall room has a private bathroom.

Please note that the no-cost single room in Andrews Hall option is no longer available.

Early Arrivals and Late Departures

Standard check-in is from noon to 4 pm on Sunday each week; standard check-out is from noon to 5 pm on Friday each week.

Students who wish to arrive or depart on Saturday may do so for $40 per night (double-occupancy apartments, $80 per night (single-occupancy apartments), or $60 per night (Clayton Hall). We are not able to accommodate Sunday departures or Friday arrivals.

Weekend Stays

Students taking courses in consecutive weeks may remain in their room assignment over the weekend between sessions at no additional charge.

Books

Students are responsible for acquiring the required books for each course. Books cost approximately $100 per course, but the exact amount varies from course to course. Books may be purchased directly from the Ashland University Bookstore, or students may purchase them from the vendor of their choice. Titles, authors, and edition information will be provided in the syllabus for each course.
