Convention Contributions: Despite attending the convention regularly, Fitzsimons did not make any major contributions during the convention. However, it is to be noted that he was a firm supporter of the nationalist faction. Fellow delegate William Pierce described him as “a Merchant of considerable talents.”
New Government Participation: Mr. Fitzsimons served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1789-1795 before retiring to private life.
