Convention Contributions: After arriving on May 28, Gorham only had one confirmed absence for the rest of the convention. During his time, he was an active member in multiple committees and could be considered a moderate nationalist. William Pierce described him as “a Man of very good sense, but not much improved in his education.”
New Government Participation: After the convention, Gorham served one more year in the continental Congress 1789, and served as a judge in the court of common pleas until he resigned in 1796. He died 11 days after resigning.
