America in WWII: Strategies and Plans

World War II was the largest and deadliest conflict in human history and one of the most consequential events in the history of the world. This seminar will focus on the crucial role that American played in the war, examining the country’s global strategy for fighting the war, with a special emphasis on interactions with allies and the dilemmas of fighting a war on two fronts.

This program will be conducted as a discussion, utilizing primary source documents as the only readings, and with the Discussion Leader facilitating the conversation, instead of lecturing or presenting. Registrants, therefore, are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions. Teachers will receive a Letter of Attendance at the conclusion of the seminar.
