FDR and WWII
Study in depth the formation, implementation, and evolution of FDR’s war policy before and during America’s direct involvement in World War 2. How did he react to and anticipate war activities before Pearl Harbor? How did his administration prepare and mobilize for war after December 7th, 1941, and manage America’s war effort through to victory? Study these questions and more in this primary source-based Seminar.
This program will be conducted as a discussion, utilizing primary source documents as the only readings, and with the Discussion Leader facilitating the conversation, instead of lecturing or presenting. Registrants, therefore, are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions. Teachers will receive a Letter of Attendance at the conclusion of the seminar.
