This seminar will consider his ascendancy to President, its historical context as well as two of his more controversial policies; the Bank War and the Nullification Crisis. This program will be conducted as a discussion, utilizing primary documents as the only readings with the professor facilitating the conversation instead of lecturing. Registrants are highly encouraged to read all the documents in advance and come ready with questions. Participants will receive a Letter of Attendance at the end of the day.
