The Cold War in the 1950s

The Cold War in the 1950s

The rise of tension between the United States and the Soviet Union is a story that has often been told. This seminar will focus on Truman and Eisenhower’s policies on postwar anti communism, containment, nuclear buildup, The Korean War, issues in Vietnam, and the Soviet Union. Join us at the table for an intriguing conversation.

This program will be conducted as a conversation among peers, utilizing primary source documents as the only readings, and with Professor Pullin facilitating the
conversation, instead of lecturing or presenting. Registrants are highly encouraged to read the documents and come with questions. All attendees will be provided lunch and a Letter of Attendance.
