Timeline of the Federalist-Antifederalist Debate by State
Introduction
Below are listed the all major Federalist and Antifederalist writings, arranged alphabetically by state, and then chronologically under each of those. This presentation should be useful for those studying the development of the competing ideas, and concentrations of points by area, over time.
It is interesting to note the development of various authors’ arguments over time within individual states, especially comparing Federalists and Antifederalists as they wrote to the same audiences and, in some cases, directly or indirectly addressed one another.
